The things you learn going home...

It's been a while since I have updated this at all.
I guess that's in part because I have had so much to do, and so many things have gone on.
Class is going well, if not a little overwhelming at times. Though I suppose it's the homework for the classes and not the classes themselves that are overwhelming at times. It's mostly the reading that takes up all the time... perhaps that is why I'm taking a break from *cough*avoiding*cough* it right now.
Then there's the social life of school, because who wants to take the time to blog when you can hang out with people right in front of you?!
I also have a job... that takes up a little bit of time.
Oh, and I am on a team to start up WyldLife in two middle schools. FANTASTIC! Yet time consuming... I could not be more excited about that.

All of that paused this weekend when I went home. It was an unexpected but pleasant time. I got to surprise my Daddy! Who, just let me take a second to brag a minute, won the Senior Staff Award for YoungLife! (I know you don't like attention Dad, but with a Dad like you I can't HELP but brag just a little *makes a small pinch with her fingers to show that it's only a little bit of bragging*) I got to see Shawn a bit, and listen to a little of his music (sure it was by force but you know... I love him more than I dislike his music). I spent time with my mommy and we went out with two friends to lunch, she never tried the sushi, but sushi is not for everyone. I loved just getting to talk to my mom. I got to see my Elphie perform her last musical as a high school student, and then got to have a really late dinner with her too! I loved just knowing that my dad was nearby. I loved when my brother came upstairs to throw my pillow in the air and just spend a few minutes with me. I loved going to church today. I even enjoyed my ride home (train to a bus to a train and then walking).

Then I was back on campus. Into the loving arms of my BEAUTIFUL roommate for a welcome home hug. Then a bunch of hugs from a bunch of lovely people. Now I am at work, where it's not busy so I have time to blog a bit (though I should start my homework soon). I even got to exchange adventure stories with Chelly. All in all, fantastical weekend in which I learned a lot of little things.

I learned that I really love to just BE with my family.
I learned that I love to see people smile.
I learned that sometimes there is no better place to worship than your home church.
I learned that I love the adventure of travel.
I learned you can have more than one home.

I'm glad to be back at one of them...
