Grandma

You have no idea how awesome she always was. Everything from her sense of humor, to the way she smiled, to how she always seemed to be a little bit of a rebel. I love the way she always bought pickles and root beer because she was convinced I loved them, so eventually I did. I love the way she told stories at night. And how she always woke up at 5 AM and read her bible in the living room, she would never make me go back to bed when I woke up. I was allowed to watch cartoons while she read. I love how she only ever had 4 bottles of perfume my entire life, even if she got new ones, they were always the same. I love that she walked her dog, that when she was young she had a job, and until she couldn’t drive she owned a red convertible car. I love that she had a doll we all called shwooly, and even though it was probably ancient and really important, she always let me take it everywhere in a wagon. I love that when we stayed in the same room when I was younger she always went to bed when, or before, I did. I love how strong she always was, and how she loves everyone. I love her encouragement, and how much she believed in people’s dreams. She fascinates me.

You know what else? I got a camera... My DREAM camera. Rebel XS with a 18-55mm lens & a 55-250mm lens with image stabilization. Do you know where I got it? My Grandma... she went to dance with Jesus almost two months ago... but she left money for my dad to surprise me with my camera. She inspires me from far away... she encourages me to pursue dreams when she can't speak. She's my angel... <3
