Weekend Whirlwind

This weekend was a whirlwind of fun. Friday was homework and leadership. It may not seem like fun, but it was fun to finish all the homework I needed to get done! And leadership had amazing food. Later that night I hung out with a few friends in the room, since Kels was on duty.

Saturday consisted of sleeping in before my WyldLife girls came over. Four of the girls came to watch a movie and do a craft. We ended up painting circular wall hangings and writing quotes on them. I wrote, "Love starts with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a teardrop." (St Augustine) Then we watched A Cinderella Story. I saw that movie in theaters for my birthday, it was definitely fun to watch with my girls. They thought it was great too! Later that night Missy came over and we watched Sabrina. Not the teenage witch, the Cinderella spin with Audrey Hepburn in it. I guess it was a Cinderella Saturday!

Sunday I enjoyed the extra hour of sleep before heading off to church. The afternoon consisted of a lot of homework. Yup... homework. It is that time in the semester when everything is due soon. So, there will be a lot of papers and tests coming up. Good thing I have fun stuff this week to keep my mind off of the upcoming stress!

Today I had choir and a presentation in my Classroom Management course. It was the first time I ever stood up in front of a college class by myself to present something. I know there were a few ummms, and possibly a few "could you all" inserts (as opposed to "class"). All in all I think it went well. After all, I was only giving a lesson plan on ASL, which I was pretty comfortable with. Also, my day was made about 80x brighter when the coffee shop on campus was selling POMEGRANATES!!! MY FAVORITE FRUIT!!! What an amazing surprise for the end of the day!
