89 Days...

It has been eighty-nine days since I last wrote on my blog. How do you sum up eighty-nine days in one blog post? I should first begin with an explanation as to why I haven't written in so long. I've taken up the fine art of writing in my journal again. It can come with me anywhere and I can use a purple colored pen. Plus, there's something extremely romantic and classy about writing in a journal as opposed to typing.

Another reason I have written nothing for eighty-nine days is that I have had eighty-nine days filled with school, work, and friends. But, it seems so unfair to my friends who read this not to have written anything at all. It would however, be an awfully mundane to write down everything I have done for the past eighty-nine days. So, I'll sum everything up in bullet points. (they're not necessarily in order)

-There was a hurricane at school
-There were tornados
-Kels and I like our new room better than last year
-WyldLife has around 16 kids at every club
-I've visited home 2x this year already (and it'll be 3 next week!)
-My brother is playing hockey! HE IS THE GOALIE FOR THE MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAM!!!!
(I'm really proud of how much he loves it and how hard he works with his team)
-The power has gone out three times so far
-The soccer team here made it to nationals (a big deal when 3 soccer players live on your hall)
-Biology and lab are making sure that I work hard
-My history professor is my favorite professor this semester. I have never had more fun listening to a teacher lecture. He loves his job which makes me love his class.
-I love that GiGi lives in the USA again and I can hear her voice on a regular basis!
-My computer is on it's last leg... the space bar, G, S, and 2 only work about 3 out of the 5 times I use them. Also, the right clicker on my mouse doesn't really work anymore, it gets stuck all the time.
-I lost a total of 20 lbs. True, I lost most of it before getting back to school, but I've maintained the weight while being here. That is most certainly an accomplishment here! (Thought I'll admit I've been struggling the past week with exercise and eating proper portions)
-I've almost finished the outline for the project that could one day turn into the groundwork for a senior thesis
-I wrote an article for my school's paper that will be published in 2 weeks!
-There was a K9 search on campus and a lock down because a thief was at large
-I saw a transformer explode, the sky went green, blue, and then white. It looked like aliens were attacking... seriously.
-I found a church! HERE!!! It's lovely...
-I has a blast at homecoming. I wore my friends dress, but for the first time I did my own hair and makeup to go to a dance!
-I got a new job, my first PAID TEACHING JOB! I am one of two teachers for a weekly Bible School for young children. I have the four year old class. I love my job. It's a mile walk to get there, but it's worth it. I get exercise, I love the environment, and I love the kids. It's a wonderful opportunity to add to my experiences!
-I have met kindred spirit (Anne of Green Gables would refer to us as bosom buddies). She's a spirited, crazy, wise, theologian to be who has a fervor for books that MATCHES MY OWN. I know, I never thought it could be possible either...
-I went grave yard strolling with Misfit and her Fav. Page #2
-I got a 50's style dress that I love...
-I registered for classes next semester (6 of them)
-I continue to swing dance, though I have not been able to do it as frequently...
-I fell in love with country music
-I started knitting again
-I got a library card for the local library at school

Well... that's about all that I can think of at the moment. Hopefully I'll be more diligent with writing entries. That way I won't have to strain my mind to think of all the adventures!

Well, now it's time for me to read before bed. I've got a book I'm dying to delve into!

Goodnight moon!
