“And I like large parties. They’re so intimate. At small parties there isn’t any privacy.”
-Scott F. Fitzgerald (The Great Gatsby)
The decorations were laid out. The stage was set for a celebration. And the company was the goal. My idea of a party isn't me being the center of attention. But it IS being surrounded by those that I love.
So to be able to gather the people who helped me along the road to graduation was a huge blessing. I got to thank people, talk to people, update everyone on my life to come.
And of course, eat amazing sweets!
You know you wish you could eat one of the butterfly cake pops a friend made for me! :)
My parents took a moment, to my chagrin, to boast about my college accomplishments. But the following moment is the one that brought tears to my eyes. The moments they took to thank everyone for being in my life. To appreciate the woman I have become. To pray for me as I grow more into who Christ has made me to be, and to be more like Christ. To pray that I grow to use the gifts and talents I have. And to thank God for all that he has brought to pass...
It was a moment I will always treasure.
Just like I treasure kissing my precious nephew while he is still small!
