I miss home.
I AM GOING HOME!
In 375 hours I will be in the car with my amazing friend who decided to drive me home.
In 378 hours I should be back in my town with the smell of the ocean and my family around me. I won't even pretend I'm not counting the hours. I have no shame of this, I can't wait.
5 Papers, 2 presentations, 1 Midterm, and 2 quizzes to go...
On another note (that sounds less desperate)
I LOVE:
My hall
Prayer
All the mini moms I have here
Kels
Chelly
Books
My job
Leaves on the ground
The smell of cold in the air
The colors of fall
Letters
Writing
Laughter
Jesus
Learning
Discussions with friends
Cafeteria family style dinners
Encouraging friends who just love on me
New BACKPACKS! (Do you know... I'd never bought one before!)
Reading the Word
Reading in general
And I'm learning to love prayer.
And I'm learning that even when I don't love it, I am called to it.
That's where the battles are won...
I'm learning to see others in a new light.
I'm learning to love in new ways.
I'm learning that I miss the sound of drums at 9 am
(but not enough to actually want it when I'm home)
I'm learning a lot...
This is where I'm supposed to be...
And I'm learning that may not always be easy.
But the right things usually aren't.
PS. I know you're reading this. I love you SHAWN!
