You know those weeks that go by really fast?
How, one minute, it can feel like the world revolves around a test.
Then the next moment the test is gone, and you remember there is so much more to life than your GPA.
Friday Midterms were officially OVER.
Friday my Mommy picked me up and I came home.
Then, I slept for 13 hours.
Saturday it was off to a pro hockey game.
Then home to have a Mighty Ducks Marathon with Katy Q and Mom.
(On a side note, I think I could write sermons centered around Mighty Ducks. They have great philosophical and theological founding within them. Really all hockey things do!)
Then to bed... because TODAY I WOKE UP AT SIX AM!
Why, you might ask, would I do that?
To watch my Shawn play hockey.
To watch him have passion about it.
To watch him light up.
He scored a hat trick today.
And then he pointed to me, like he was dedicating it to me.
When he's in the NHL one day and points to me after a goal, I would not be ANY prouder of him than I was today when he did it.
It's not the where, the what, or the how.
It's the love behind that point.
The pride and love behind him pointing to me after a big event in life.
That kid, he doesn't always know it, but he's my pride and joy.
Love him... always.
Then it was off to church.
Praising God
Seeing church family
It's great to be home...
And I really FELT at home when I talked to Abi and then went down to campaigners!
It felt like a SR year of high school sort of Sunday.
Then it was off to hop coffee shops like hipsters with Misfit and Elphie.
Rollin up with our SLR's and our intent to try new things.
Rollin away blasting Glee.
Really, I'm not quite sure what else to say about that.
It was fantastic!
What a weekend!
And that's just the beginning of Spring Break, oh the adventures ahead!
Come back home so we can do it all again.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back in the summer and we can do even more!
