Slacker...

I admit it! When it comes to blogging I have been slacking off. It could have something to do with the fact that I was lazy. Or maybe that I have been writing in a real live journal lately. Or perhaps I have not been blogging because of a lack of time. Okay, it's really a combination of all those things. However, don't for one SECOND think that it is from a lack of adventure!

This semester has been full of firsts for me. Full of life, hard work, and excitement. This semester:

-I went dancing (but far less than I should have)
-I finished this semester to the glory of God
-I became a "Whovian"
-I met a kindred spirit
-I learned to listen better (I'm still learning)
-I got my first job as a paid teacher (albeit an assistant teacher once a week, but it's the small steps that make the journey right?)
-I tackled 7 classes in ONE semester
-I got letters! (IN THE MAIL!)
-I sold books on ebay (Yes, I have moved to selling things online!)
-I went to Barnes & Nobles... a lot... seriously.
-I started learning how to work with people that don't work well with you
-I got the blessing of being able to see my family once a month
-I watched my brother play hockey, and ROCK at it! (currently his team is undefeated, not that I'm bragging. Oh, who am I kidding?! I'm bragging!)
-I had numerous adventures with my hall (including: decorating for Christmas & getting a prize in a campus wide competition, covering our faces with chocolate for beauty, and watching movies together)
-I started compiling lesson plan ideas for my future classroom
-I created a teaching philosophy

And as ever... God swept me off my feet with his mercy, grace, patience, and everlasting & unconditional love.

Since being home on break I've been able to rest... sometimes. I'm working (library and babysitting) almost every day. No complaints though, I love my jobs! Every family I babysit for are blessings. I love those kids so much! It's an honor to watch them grow up. And the library is like a second home. Where else could I get paid to play video games, watch a movie, look at books, paint a craft, and work among a large collection of stories?! Work hasn't consumed my time thought, I've been able to go out with friends, watch movies, visit, and mostly be an overall homebody. I love being home. Curling up on my couch, in bed, or in my brothers room. Just to be home and drink some tea is fantastic. I miss these moments when I'm at school...

Of course, this break won't last much longer! I only have one more week to cross all of the things off my to do list! But that's another post... right now I should get to sleep. I might be sick... okay I probably am. But I refuse to admit it! But I will curl up in bed now, just to see if I'm tired...

Goodnight moon!
