Yesterday I went for a 20 mile bike ride. Yes. Twenty Miles. I didn't think I was in good shape, sometimes I can prove myself wrong. I woke up this morning, and nothing hurt! My body didn't ache and I wasn't overly tired. That's probably the most exciting thing that happened this week. The day was spent with a great friend, and involved: Italian ices, searching for a park, walking through a marsh, walking on a beach, biking 2 boardwalks, eating yummy burgers, trying to take over the world (in Risk), Alumni fellowship at my house, and smiling a lot. Needless to say it was a good day... great day.
Today I went to work where there was almost nothing to do. My co-worker (let's call her Mira) and I spent a lot of the day just cleaning up the shelves, since kids come into the library and mess them all up. We really did it out of necessity of needing to do something before we went insane. Then I went home and got ready, and went out for pizza with Michelle (I've been wanting good pizza for days!). There is a craft sale in town today so we walked through that craziness and got to the beach. Ahh, a relaxing day at the beach... Where, due to the fact we dyed parts of out hair purple, we could NOT go into the salt water. We went in to about our waists. We felt like such girls... "ahh no, my hair!" We made fun of ourselves for being so silly! Then off to get ice tea and swing at the park, where we witnessed an intense water balloon fight by 5th graders. Tonight we're going to have a Lord of the Rings Marathon turned sleep over. (I'm not admitting this, but she leaves the country for a few weeks starting while I'm away... I'll miss her quite terribly!)
Tomorrow I am off for a week to one of the most lovely places in the world. It's a beautiful camp in the mountains that I've been to a million different times. Every winter and every few summers my family would make the trek to this camp to spend a week, or a few weeks. This summer I will be attending at a camper. I can't tell you all the amazing things we do, because someone may read this and see all the fantastic secrets, and one of the best parts about this camp is the surprises that happen every day. I will be going with 57 other people in my Young Life group and I can't wait! While I'm there I will turn 18, laugh a lot, swim in a lake, be a little crazy, take a million pictures, and have fun with my friends! <3
This is going to be one amazing week...
