August To-Do: Go Shopping

I've heard of the term shop til you drop, I have just never experienced it like I did today. Today was my anual college shopping day. I woke up early and went with my Aunt to shop for all the college necessities. We went to:

• Starbucks (coffee is a must for shopping)
• Target (my favorite store for all the random things I need)
• Trader Joe's (girls gotta have midnight snacks)
• Vitamin Shoppe (and stay healthy)
• Michael's Arts and Crafts (and be creative)

That might not sound exhausting, but it was. After all that running around we ended up going out to a delicious lunch at Joe's Crab Shack. It's a cute theme restaurant with amazing food. I got my favorite Lobster Bisque and wasn't able to finish my Fish & Chips! Mmmm mmm good.

After being dropped off at home I went on shopping round two with my Mom. We hopped in the car listening to music with the windows down. Our final destination? My favorite thrift store! I definitely spent more than I was looking to spend there, but they were amazing finds! I ended up getting:

1. Two Plain T-Shirts
2. A green lace shirt
3. A Black and White Trench Coat
4. A black 40's style hat
5. A table cloth for school (to double as a picnic blanket
6. Lace x2 (to hang on the cork board)
7. A set of sheets for when company comes to use the futon
8. A cover for the futon
9. Three jars for my tea
10. A can to hold sugar

So even though I spent more than intended, I got my money's worth! I can't wait to decorate my room this year! And of course, the whole rest of the hallway!

And after a long day of shopping my dear friend came over for a night of ice cream and wedding TV shows. Yes, that is how I veg out after a long day. Right now I should be packing... do you think if I sing that birds and woodland creatures will come to pack for me? It's worth a try!
