Snow Globe

Today tried to rain on my parade, and God made it snow...

Not just regular snow. The snow that fell from the sky tonight was thick and it fell layer after layer. It landed like little nuggets on my skin and clothes. It lay like tiny mound on the ground. It was wet and crisp. Not cold enough to bite, just cold enough to be snow. It was an entirely new type of snow. It wasn't furious in how it fell, it took its time to land, wafting down from the heavens. Looking up I couldn't even see the sky. It was flurries at ever angle, and blurs of dark blue between them.

After tonight I believe it is safe for me to say that I have been inside of a snow globe...

I can ignore the fact that work took a long time today.
That a sewage pipe cracked and is leaking on my hall.
That I'm tired...

Because right now, it all pales in comparison to the beauty that is a fresh snow on the eve of my favorite holiday. Well played Lord, I've received your Valentine's greeting...
