Amazing Days...

I think I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that I'm leaving... It's sinking it. I have a few days left with my family and friends. I have a few days left until I leave. I only have a few days left... And for the first time since I registered, I'm a little scared and sad to be going...

Yesterday morning I tried really hard to clean my room up! I got about... I dont know, half way through! But I have a good reason! I went out with Favorite LIT #1 for lunch! She took me to the most amazing seafood place ever, and we had lobster rolls and crab cakes. Her (most delicious) choice! We talked about her epic college days, and the fun she had. She gave me some of her lifetime wisdom to take with me (and a fridge!). We talked about dorm necessities, and we talked about actually fitting things into a car (so not happening). Then we both clocked into work and spent the day working and chatting. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do without her and the library. It's been one of my refuges since I was small, and I've been there at least 2-3 times a week every week for the past 4 years! Being gone just doesn't seem like an option... but it's going to happen. I'll miss shelving. I'll miss familiarity. I'll miss spur of the moment impulse ice tea runs. I'll miss Mira, who taught me everything I know about shelving. I'll miss my librarians. And I'll miss Favorite LIT #1. A lot.

The last night I slept over Raaachel's house and we stayed up way too late doing nothing. Okay, talking... and maybe we almost had a midnight snack. And there was definitely music. And air conditioning. And cameras. It was fun! Today we went into the city and Elphie met us there and we all went to a photo seminar! It was amazing, for the first half anyway. There was a part on the history of photography, technical photography terms, practical tips, and then a tutorial on editing. It was actually really fun. We had pizza for lunch (which I'd been craving it's been almost 4 days since I last had pizza!), and we had about... 3 cups of coffee? Yea... about that. (Did I mention we stayed up REALLY late, and got up REALLY early?) Then we went to this AMAZING technology store. I call it camera heaven! It was the best! I took a catalog the size of the Bible and am currently flipping through it. One can wish right?

Then I had some more time with my brother tonight... that kid. I don't know what I'll do when I can't yell at him to turn his music down and laugh during Unnatural History with him. It's going to be so dull...

So, I think this is my sad wistful period. I hope it only lasts a few days...
