The last few days have been a blur of people who keep trying to say goodbye to me. Luckily a good friend saved the moment by coming up to me Tuesday night, taking my face between her hands and saying, "I refuse to say goodbye, you are not dying, so I will see you again!" That was the best. I agree with her.
I have had a lot of lasts for a while though. Yesterday I babysat for the last time in a while, and cried a little as I walked home. I've watched those girls grow up a little more every week for 3 years. I can't imagine weeks without them. Selfishly I hope they don't grow much while I'm gone. Realistically I can't wait to see how they're changed. Last night was my last Campaigners, technically ever, as a high school student. When MoCo prayed for me I was touched, I'll miss them all. Today was my last day at the library. They threw me, and another page going away to college, a party! It was sweet, and people who aren't even working came in! It was fantastic, I felt so loved. The way they watched me grow up, and care... it's overwhelming. I'll miss their faces. Frequently. Joey came in on his day off and just talked and helped me to give advice to the newest page. Replacement Me! She was even home schooled... my boss said since he couldn't clone me he tried to find the closest thing to me! It was really funny... Favorite LIT #1 made me chocolate raspberry cake! I love her to death... she makes me smile with all the things she does. I can't wait to come back and visit her! The head of my department gave me a journal... she's so thoughtful. I'll miss her weekly book suggestions!
All in all this is a bitter sweet moment... well really bitter sweet moments. Tomorrow is my last day home... weird.
